Castries Tour
A drive through the capital of St. Lucia: Castries
A brief discussion of the history of the city. You will see the catholic church, the Derek Walcott Square in the heart of the capital, Castries.
In the square, you will see the busts of our two Nobel Laureates, a large Samaan Tree locally known as the ‘Massav’ Tree, which is said to be over two hundred years old.
The Central Library will be seen after the square;
The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, you will get a chance to view the altarpiece and other creative work done by Dunstan St. Omer between 1796 and 1948.
See the beautiful view of Port Castries and the north of the island from the top of Morne Fortune.
While at Morne Fortune, you will be able to view and take photos of Port Castries, Pointe Seraphine, the George FL Charles Airport in Vigie, and some of the northern communities and the historic government house.
