Castries & Morne Fortune
Drive through the city and a brief history of the island will be shared with you.
The beautiful view of the Castries Harbour, the airport, and the north will be seen at the Morne Fortune viewpoint. You will also get the opportunity to see the unique architectural design of the Governor General’sResidence along the way to the west coast of St. Lucia.
See the Government House.
It features a unique architectural design in St. Lucia. The piece is well maintained to reveal its true beauty when it was first built in 1865. It is the official residence of St. Lucia’s Governor General, who is the head of state. It also houses important historical documents. This is one of the tourist attractions in St. Lucia that you just can’t miss.
Marigot Bay
Stop at the exquisite Marigot Bay to experience the scenery. It is a safe haven for numerous sailboats all year round. It was also the setting for the movie Dr. Doolittle, starring Eddie Murphy. It is one of the most beautiful and picturesque harbors you will witness in the Caribbean, with a small private beach guarded by steep forested hillside. It is roughly a 55-60 minutes drive from the scenic town of Soufriere, home to the iconic Pitons.
Roseau Valley
Drive through a native banana plantation.
Following Marigot Bay, the roads run through Roseau Valley, home to the Roseau banana fields. Bananas at one time were St. Lucia’s main income earner, giving it the popular name: ‘Green Gold”. On the plantation, you will learn about the plantation's history, and the harvesting process and you’ll get a chance to sample local ripe bananas.
West Coast Road: Anse-La-Raye and Canaries
You will be driven through two fishing villages: Anse La Raye and Canaries.
Soufriere
From the viewpoints, you will be able to enjoy the view of the scenic town of Soufriere and the iconic Pitons, the ‘Twin Peaks’, a world heritage site which is over 2000 ft tall. After the viewpoints, we will then drive through the town of Soufriere, the 2nd largest town which was once St. Lucia’s capital. We’ll cruise the waterfront of the town, where you’ll be able to see a variety of colored boats and yachts.
Sulphur Springs and Mineral Bath
Brace yourself for the next stop which will be the Sulphur Springs, the only drive-in volcano in the world, which is within a 7-acre crater.
While at the sulphur springs, you can enjoy a mud bath in the famous black mineral water pools. You can take a full bath by submerging your body in the 38.7 degrees hot springs.
You can also use the different coloured mineral mud deposits in and around the springs for cosmetic and therapeutic purposes by pasting or scrubbing your skin to enjoy the rejuvenating benefits.
Diamond Botanical Gardens and Toraille Waterfall
From the hot mineral pools at the Sulphur Springs, we will head to the Diamond Botanical Gardens and Waterfall, which will be great for those who love flora. From there, we will head to the breathtaking Toraille Waterfall situated on the outskirts of Soufriere, where you can enjoy a refreshing cold bath.
Return To Castries
Upon returning to Castries, you get the chance to indulge in some duty-free shopping at La Place Carenage or Pointe Seraphine.
